The days are getting longer, birds are singing and soon lawnmowers will be heard on Sunday mornings.  Spring is a great time for new beginnings and starting the year as you mean to go on, so why not take this month to give your garden furniture a bit of a spruce up ready for the Spring sunshine.  All you need is a bucket of hot soapy water and a sponge.  You can clean off the worst of the winter grub and grime with a bit of elbow grease but for stubborn marks use a soft toothbrush and then once you have given it a good soaking lightly hose down and leave to dry.   If you have cast furniture and the shine has started to dwindle then we recommend a product called Polytrol, it can be found on Amazon and works wonders, it restores the lustre to the finish.

If you need a little more help you can take a look at the product care videos courtesy of David Domoney.

Spring is also the time our new collections start arriving in garden centres.  We have some lovely new additions this year, the Hartford's natural tones enhance any garden and bring a touch of style to your patio, its sophisticated collection that takes comfort seriously.

The Atlanta and Georgia create enviable outside spaces for entertaining family and friends.  The collection comes complete with ceramic tables for minimal upkeep with maximum style.

We also have a brand new cast collection, the Capri, as with all our cast ranges they are classically styled yet strong, durable and lightweight. Our distinct ranges feature designs to bring your outdoor space alive - from loungers and benches to two seater bistro tables and family dining sets.

Spring also heralds the start of the show season and for us that means the RHS Chelsea Flower Show.  We shall be in our usual place on Royal Hospital Way North and we would love you to come over and say "Hello".  We will be showcasing our Bali weave collection this year with it weather ready® cushions.  The great thing about these cushions is they can be left outside even when it's raining.  The cushion is permeable which means the rain passes through the fabric but once the sun reappears and dries them out they can be used again, so they are ideal for the unpredictable Chelsea weather and also for any garden.

Last but by no means least we are running our "Win a TV Gardener for the day" competition again. The lucky winner will spend the day with David Domoney who will help evaluate your garden, create a plan of action for any changes, identify plants, offer hints and tips on design and provide care and maintenance advice, you are also in with a change of winning a Hartman furniture set, designed by David, worth £1000. The competition runs from 1st April to 31st May so get ready to enter via our web page www.hartmanuk.com/windavid .
